South Broward Wheelers Cycling Club has joined forces once again with Evan Butters in putting together the 3rd annual charity event ‘Biking for Ben’ in honor of his grandfather, Benjamin Goldman, who passed away from Alzheimer. The event will benefit Alzheimer’s research at The John P. Hussman Institute for Human Genomics at The University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine.

Why a cycling event?

Evan's grandfather, Ben, was an avid cyclist for as long as he can remember. Even at the age of 85, Ben was still riding every day until Alzheimer took that from him.

When Ben passed from the decease, he left Evan one of his bicycles. Evan is still riding his grandfather’s old bicycle at every event in his honor!
